The Euskadiko ikasleen orkestra (EIO orkestra) is an ensemble made up of music students, all under the age of 19 from all over the Basque Country of Spain. Jon Malaxetxebarria is their Music Director. In this concert they will share the stage with the Derbyshire City & County Youth Orchestra from the UK, in what promises to be an invaluable exchange experience (the Basque musicians will have already performed in England) as well as a wonderful concert.
